About Coura
Coura is a strategy studio for early-stage, first-time, and non-technical founders building technology products. We help founders move from an idea or MVP toward Series A readiness through integrated product strategy, go-to-market planning, and fundraising support. By helping founders decide what to build, who it's for, how to bring it to market, and what proof they need to create before they raise, we create clearer product direction, a stronger market story, and more credible traction for customer, partner, and investor conversations.

Founder, Ceo

As the founder and CEO of Coura, Amodhi Weeresinghe works with first-time and non-technical founders who need a strategic partner while building their first technology products. She helps them make the connected product, go-to-market, and fundraising decisions that move a company toward Series A readiness.
Amodhi is keenly aware of the reality that product, traction, and fundraising are inseparable. A product cannot create traction if it solves the wrong problem or reaches the wrong audience, and fundraising becomes much harder when a founder cannot point to a focused product, meaningful customer learning, and a clear direction for growth.
Over the past two years, founders Amodhi has supported have raised more than $10 million in pre-seed and seed capital. While Coura doesn't promise funding, Amodhi and the team are dedicated to working with founders to build the clarity, evidence, and market narrative that make a stronger case for their next round.
Amodhi takes particular care with founders who have historically had the least access to strategic advisory support, including women, women-identifying founders, and other underrepresented founders building without the networks or capital that more traditional paths often assume.
Good advice has always gone first to whoever already had it easiest. Coura was built to break that pattern.
Founders hear what's working, what's not, and what needs to change. Sometimes the honest answer isn't the one they hoped for, but it's always more useful than false reassurance.
Every engagement starts with what's true about the founder, the product, the market, and the stage of the company. Coura doesn't force a borrowed playbook onto a business with different customers, constraints, or ambitions.
Coura takes on a small number of engagements at a time, leaving room to understand everything in context, stay close to the decisions as they develop, and give each founder the attention a high-stakes engagement requires.
Amodhi leads every engagement herself. The person who hears the context in the first conversation is the same person accountable for the recommendations that follow.
No jargon, no posturing, and no need to pretend you already know the rules. We make sure you can follow the conversation, challenge the thinking, and make informed decisions about your company.
